When Elise saw our first shipment of Manos' new Alpaca Cotton blend she practically gasped! It was shockingly soft to the touch and although Elise is usually a wooly girl, she started working up a scarf right away. “The colors!!!” she exclaimed, as she was struggling to decide which one to begin on. They are softer than the usual Manos fare making it perfect for the warmer days and matching the fine weight. She ended up using Mermaid, and her scarf, done on large needles, is a beautiful lacy creation perfect for March and April. And now, which color shall she use for her summer shell……
Content: 60% baby alpaca, 40% pima cotton
Put Up: Approximately 170yds/50g twisted reeled skein
Gauge: 22-26 sts per 4″ on US #4-5 Needle
hand-wash, dry flat or dry clean
IMPORTANT NOTE: When the workers at the Manos Del Uruguay cooperative skein the yarn, they use the yarn in the skein to tie up the bundle. Therefore, do NOT cut the yarn to unbundle it when winding into a ball. Elise uses a darning needle to loosen the knots.
