When Elise first discovered Manos about ten years ago, she had never felt yarn that was 100% wool to be so soft and luxurious. She also loved the way the wool was streaky yet all one color. That's when she learned about the vat-dying process. The yarn picks up the dye in varying amounts and gives it the characteristic striated look. The thickness of the yarn also varies slightly giving your sweater or blanket a gorgeous textured look.

With last spring's addition of a cotton line, dyed and processed in the same manner, we can only say that we love Manos Del Uruguay more and more!
