Andy's Merino II

Merino with flair……
Andy’s Merino II… same great sheep… but now a newer, softer, bigger skein!!! That’s right folks, Carol’s been at it again. She couldn’t resist playing around with Andy and has made his yarn even better, brighter and softer than before….
Andy’s Merino is one of Elise’s favorite yarns from Hop Yard Spinnery and it’s not just because she fell in love with the incredibly cute picture of Andy on the label! She fell in love with it the day she started knitting on house socks made with this glorious fiber! This amazing fiber feels a bit rough when in a skein – only to get softer and softer as it gets worked. Elise has since knitted sweaters, blankets and baby gifts out of it. Many thanks to Andy and his wonderful family of sheep!
IMPORTANT NOTE: Just a reminder, all Hopyard is vat dyed and not stirred so there are no dye lots and every skein is unique (yarn that was on the bottom of the vat tends to be more intensely colored than those on the top). Elise really likes the differences and when she uses the skeins, she places them arbitrarily. We do have a suggestion for people who are more organized. Roll up two skeins and every two rows change skeins as if you are striping with different colors. As a result, the differences in the colors will blend, and you will not be able tell where one stops and another starts.
