Fat Sheep

Fat Sheep

With a name like Fat Sheep…..

you know it just has to be one of Elise’s favorite yarns!! And so it is. With a texture very similar to the sheep itself and colors in the gorgeous tradition of Hop Yard Spinnery, it’s easy to see why she loves it. It can get a bit chilly in the shop in winter and Elise loves to layer on many knitted garments. One of her most favorite layers is her striped, hooded vest in all of her beloved colors. Layering by Fat Sheep….a knitter’s heaven.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Just a reminder, all Hopyard is vat dyed and not stirred so there are no dye lots and every skein is unique (yarn that was on the bottom of the vat tends to be more intensely colored than those on the top). Elise really likes the differences and when she uses the skeins, she places them arbitrarily. We do have a suggestion for people who are more organized. Roll up two skeins and every two rows change skeins as if you are striping with different colors. As a result, the differences in the colors will blend, and you will not be able tell where one stops and another starts.
