Crippenworks Story
Created from Beautiful Vintage Fabrics!
Back when Elise first opened the Main Street Shop, that very first fall, it was quite noticeable when some one walked in. (Let's just picture Elise and Tina doing lots of knitting!) So the morning when a nice woman with lots of tupperware buckets and a very cute baby walked in is memorable! That was our introduction to Katharyn and her beautiful sewing skills - not to mention her fabulous son.
Each Crippenworks creation has been carefully designed with knitters and crocheters in mind. Each is hand sewn and unique in it's fabric choice as well as choice of vintage buttons. Katharyn uses only upholstery grade fabrics - even Elise will not wear out these. As the years have flown by... these beauties have flown out of our shop. Now we have enough in stock to bring them to our web friends.
Elise and Tina still enjoy seeing Katharyn walk through our doorway several times a year. Her creations are both practical and beautiful. As far as that cute baby..... he is now a bounding grade schooler. It is still a pleasure to visit with him and during our last conversation, he told Elise he is learning how to sew and that sometimes.... his mom lets him choose the buttons to go with the fabrics. A new designer is made.......
