Now that the cold weather is settling in, the needles are flying – both in the shop and in my house. As my kids get older, they are “giving in” to their knitting birthright more and more. It’s really fun to find their half knitted projects all over my living room! These days I’m finishing up projects like crazy. I am almost done with my daughter Leydi’s coat. Made from Peruvia Quick, it knitted like a dream. Because it was so big and knit in one piece, it had the added advantage of keeping me warm while I worked. I’ll get Dillon to post a photo on the blog!
I am about to concentrate on finishing the coat for myself (made out of Lang’s Piora).
Amy is starting a coat from Hop Yard’s Woodland Spun (Yum!). This is definitely the season for coats around here. My Mission Falls sweater is coming along …. Back is finished, front is about halfway. I really want to wear it, I’m just having a hard time working on those size 5’s. Stop laughing…. I know eventually my desire to wear that gorgeous black sweater will overcome….
I finally finished Maxx’s blanket from Weaver’s Wool and he took it up to school after Thanksgiving. I actually miss having it to work on. Uh oh…. My black sweater will have to wait, I feel a new blanket coming on. … my biggest problem, as usual, which delicious yarn to use….. will keep you updated, Elise ~

Dillon is doing a great job with the blog! He writes (along with Elise’s comments) during their evening cocktail hours. This means there is often input from Miranda, Elise’s youngest daughter, as she usually sticks around for the hor d’oeuvres. Check it out and let us know what you think.
